Guess what was lurking in the supermarket aisles today? A zoo of sausage creations! I was quite surprised. Japan is full of surprises at the moment.

Last week we had raining tadpoles in the North of Japan, then we have Ninja sausages in the supermarket. What’s next?
I found these little critters hanging out in the food aisle, complete with a Ninja Chef. I couldn’t believe they would actually ask this guy to dress up like this to sell sausages, but I guess competition must be tough and you have to stand out. This exhibit certainly was a popular one with the kids.
- Blue Ninja Selling Sausages
The sausages had various flavors including some spicy ones. They would be great for o-bento. It seems like a lot of work to prepare, but imagine snapping open the lid on your o-bento and having your co-workers get jealous over your special Ninja sausages.

If you are eating at home with kids, this will certainly keep them entertained. No excuse for not wanting to eat the sausages now! You just have to hope they don’t want to play with the set first before eating.

I wish I had culinary skillz! Eh, I can’t say I’ve seen anything particularly strange at the supermarket…I mean, I’ve seen live lobsters there before, but apparently that’s nothing special. ^^;
