I love the way that in Japan Thomas Tank Engine is so popular. Look at this amazing bus! Imagine sending your children to kindy on that everyday. I know I would have no complaints!
Thomas Tank and friends are an important part of our lives. Each train is a character that is very much alive and chugging along!
As such a visit to ThomasLand, close to Mt. Fuji, was an important day out. Thomasland theme park has been very successful in Japan. So obviously we are not the only crazy Thomas fans!
In ThomasLand, there are not only lovely Thomas Tank rides for the kids, but great Thomas shopping for the enthusiasts!
- All aboard
Kids loved the range of exhibits and rides – there was lots for them to do.
- Rides
The only thing was that each ride needed more small change!!!
- Careful Toby
This was a simple and cheaper option!
- A Troublesome Truck
So was this option!
- With the Fat Controller
Cranky the Crane with Mt. Fuji in the background.
- Cranky the Crane
Of course, for those in the group that are not into the smaller Thomas rides, there is also a rollercoaster park with the highest and fastest rollercoasters in the world.
That would be a bit too scary for me! I’ll stick to Thomas Fun!

Reminds me of a painting I saw at a Japanese art exhibit called Super Flat. The artist proposed putting a Thomas face on the front of JR commuter trains to discourage people from committing suicide by jumping in front of them.
