Tokyo Disney Resort has many hotels that do a great job servicing the DisneyLand and DisneySea parks, but a year ago today the DisneyLand Hotel was officially opened. And this hotel is worth a visit – whether it be for photos, tea or a stay overnight.
The hotel is a magnificent structure as you would expect. It has the elegance and spectacular service. It also has the convinience with a small supermarket – or conbini store located within the hotel.
- Happy Anniversary DisneyLand Hotel
It is great to give a bird’s eye view of the lobby. The chandeliers are truely amazing. And if you get in one of the feature elevators the view of the full set of chandeliers is brilliant.
- The bird's eye view
This shot is from inside the feature Elevator. The detail in wrought iron lace work is lovely.
- View from the Feature Elevator in the Disney Hotel Lobby
I also really liked the character designs in wrought iron – can you see Donald Duck?
- DisenyLand Hotel Lobby
The elevator is not the only surprise – there are merry-go-round and dolls house displays in the lobby.
- Dolls House
The conbini store is called Looking Glass Gifts and is open 24 hours. There are gifts for sale here but also fresh foods and snacks to purchase.
- A variety of fresh foods to select
This is really useful to know if you are travelling with your family – somebody has always forgotten something or is hungry! The noodles from here were good.
- Hams and Cheese - Also the noodles!
- Open 24 hours! Very good!
Of course we are talking Disney so the place is also full of princesses!
- Tokyo DisneyLand Hotel full of belles and beauty
There is a shop here at the hotel (Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique) where you can hire these princess character clothes and walk about for a short while to take photos. Staff are on hand for assistance in dressing and grooming.
Reception staff speak English and are so helpful! They let us know that there are special times for breakfast bookings in the hotel that are cheaper than their peak hour breakfast times. And these prices were competitive with the other Disney Resort Hotels. This was good to know. The staff also handed out DisneyLand Hotel badges for the children.
- Check-in Counter!
The rooms are full of character, but not without their price tag obviously! After all this is Disney.
- Beautiful Rooms, lovely Disney decor
This particular room was the Snow White room. however there are Cinderella rooms and Peter Pan rooms to also chose from.
- Twin bed Snow White rooms
The rooms have plenty of space and wonderful bathrooms!
- Mirror on the wall
These are the Disneyland Hotel amenities that are supplied when you book a room.
- Toiletries!
And whilst the price tag is high – even for a night it is worth the experience of Disney luxury!

I also found this blog written on July 8 2008 – the day of the opening – its an interesting comparison with my post a year on – Disneyland Hotel is certainly worth a visit.

This hotel it looks like in the stories. Is impressive and I think the kids are very happy with it. The pictures are very well done.
Many thanks! Disney Tokyo has its own flavour and each time I go back I see something new and particular to Japan’s way of doing Disney.
