Japan Beetle Mania

The Rhino beetle (Kabutomushi) is sold as a pet in Japan and also widely used as a cartoon or story book character. And the beetle is so popular that you can buy food and accessories to keep him happy! Take a look at this packet!

Jelly for Rhino beetles! The beetles and beetle gear are sold in local department stores.
In fact, we found the beetle on the toy floor and the jelly on the 100 yen floor.

Then on the floor with the books we found this story for good bedtime reading!

The Rhino beetle is not really my favourite pet but at least it is comparably small, light on the food bill and doesnt malt, scratch the furniture or need daily walking.
