Class Photos

boys in yesteryear photo

Anyone know where these class photos were taken? Stay tuned I will do some digging around the kimono box and get back to the post with – who, why and where! Its wonderful to go through the old family photos and piece together the threads of lives.

Not many old photos remain from years gone by because the family lost most of their belongings in the fire bombings that hit Tokyo at the end of the war.

What characters these children are. They are standing smartly to attention for their photos to be taken.

I found this piece of footage on youtube that broadcast images of Japanese children around the same time that these photos were taken.
