Rent an Actroid, Japan

Robotics Japan never fail to disappoint or surprise. And they are everywhere from information booths to cabin attendants! This girl in green is lovely, but I hope they aren’t piloting the plane as well!

So how much would it be to rent an actroid for your next corporate gathering? It looks like they rent over a 5 day period for around $3,500 dollars.

This photo page is from Kokoro, a Sanrio Group company which focuses on the design and manufacture of robots. The marketing campaign says that the actroids are “Elegant, faminine, and lively at all times.”

Has anyone rented an actroid? Looks like Actroid DER-2 from Kokoro has been very popular recently. She has appeared in her first Japanese TV commerical for UV insect repellent.
