Well after a long and sometimes hectic break …. I am back on my post.
It must have been 6 weeks or more since my last post and apologies …. from writing everyday to disappearing into obscurity ….. but I have some ideas, stories and tales to tell for 2010.
Actually I hadn’t totally vanished from blogging life. I kept up a daily blog on shibuya246 ( thank you).
I was asked to blog about Amazon Japan on shibuya246 towards the end of last year and jumped at the challenge. I am an avid shopper, collector and gift giver ….. and I have found Amazon to be a great source for gift inspiration as well as a wonderful way to check out prices.
What has been quite revealing to me over the course of writing about Amazon Japan Cool Picks, is the competitive pricing and variety of stock. Most items that are found in the shops are available online and often at cheaper prices. You would be a puffin muffin to buy your gifts anywhere else sometimes!!! One of my mistakes over the New Year was to fall in love with a One Piece Hat in Yokohama.
Of course it was purchased straightaway and then I scurried back to check the online price only to find that I had just wasted 1,500 yen!!
Nevermind.
The One Piece Hat sits pride of place in my son’s room.
It was also a great days shopping outing.
How shopping savvy are you?
Have you made any big shopping mistakes? If you shop online do you feel that you dont buy as much?
And as for 2010 …. have you made resolutions?
