Lumine, Shinjuku

This is Lumine Est – it is a big department store/shopping mall built directly into the station.

We visited en masse …. trying not to lose anyone ….

Did you realise that Shinjuku was a quiet community back in 1885 when the station first opened?
You would never know that if you knew Shinjuku today.

Shinjuku station is one of the world’s busiest stations! What a difference a century makes.
