There is a new cultural trend in Tokyo – cat cafes.

Customers pay to sip tea and cuddle cats. Supposedly, there are cat cafes popping up all over the city. I must go and check one out and report back to my blog.
The logic behind these feline cafes is that you can get to enjoy cats and not have to have the worry of leaving them in cramped apartments while you are out at work. Take a look at this youtube piece.
Do you like cats enough to enjoy tea time together?
Very interesting and enterprising all the same!
Would cat cafes work in your country?

I don’t know if this cafe will be successful since homes/apts in the USA are larger so there may not be a need for this. Unless those without cats or cat fanatics (like me) go. But I do think that if these cafes exist, it is a fantastic idea to obtain abandoned cats or cats from humane society for these cafes. There’s so many homeless cats in my area..it’s sad.
I’m not into cats, but I like the cherry blossom in the background. In fact, here’s a special drawing for you!
