According to newsreports, a 6 year old boy in Osaka was bitten by one of these Aussie exports a few months back! And his case is just one of the many starting to emerge. I really don’t like spiders! Creepy crawly … yikes.

But I am amazed at the stretch of the redbacks explorations! Japan is quite a long way for it to travel.

It looks like a container ship carrying woodchips has inadvertedly let the spiders into Japan. But more of a concern is that the redback like warm areas … and experts have warned that Japan’s convenient heated toilet seat could provide the ultimate in oriental nesting space.

I always knew there was a reason I wasnt fond on the heated seats.
All I can say is – watch your bum … not your back this winter season!

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….

On a different note, I have warned my kids to tidy up their rooms otherwise spiders could find hide out space ….. the kids havent responded yet as they are too busy with games…. maybe I should find a trick spider and plant it???? Would have cause them to move their attention from the computer … I wonder?
